Last Days of this General Motors Factory

This image was snapped in August of 2009. It shows about 75% of this steel-framed GM factory on its last days. It was built over a 32-acre slab of concrete, making this almost warehouse-like factory large enough to play 32 American football games at once.

Notice the four thick bush-enclosed lagoons behind the factory. These were where General Motors had dumped tons of dangerous chemicals over five decades. It is important to note that these lagoons were cleaned out before the casino construction was allowed to commence (government stuff).
